I could never leave journalism.

A lot of people wouldn’t understand why. Us fish wrappers are an odd bunch and it’s tough for a lot of people to get why we’re so excited by stories.

For me, I love rocking someone’s world. I love the feeling of knowing I caught someone’s hand in the cookie jar, stealing from taxpayers or committing some other wrong, and plastered it across p1.

Journalism has its problems. But, to steal some wording from a founding father, a world without journalism is worse off than a world with journalism.

Today I hope we did some good.
